MISSION STATEMENT
Seeking to exalt and serve Jesus Christ by leading lost people to Him, and encouraging Christian growth.
HISTORY
Elk County Christian Warriors is a local chapter of Christian Bowhunters of America. We were established in 2019 to reach the ever growing archery community for Christ.

Every month we shoot 3D targets to warm up for the meeting. We use our hoverball booth at different local venues to spread the Gospel to the community.
MEETINGS:
Third Monday of the month, 5:00 pm @ Faith Baptist Church, St Marys Pa. For more information, contact Dave Waters @ stillwatersranch849@gmail.comElk County Christian Warriors
Each year in November Samaritan’s Purse volunteers across the country support Operation Christmas Child (OCC). Churches and Individuals fill shoeboxes with new gifts including school supplies, hygiene items, and toys which are sent to children in countries around the world. This year OCC National Collection Week ran from 13 Nov to 20 Nov.
The Mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
Many churches and individuals in Elk County pack and donate shoeboxes with gifts. Faith Baptist Church, 288 West Creek Rd, St. Marys, PA 15857 is the only OCC Shoebox Drop-off location in Elk County. Volunteers at the church typically collect over 500 shoeboxes from county residents. The shoeboxes are taken to First Baptist Church in Curwensville. From there they are shipped to Baltimore to an OCC processing center. The project is always a blessing to everyone who donates time and materials to this ministry.
FBC has served as an OCC Shoebox Drop-off Location for 8 years. This year FBC volunteers collected 618 shoeboxes. That was significantly higher than 507 last year and the previous high of 555 before COVID.
Faith Baptist Church has plenty of free pre-printed shoeboxes for anyone who would like to start preparing to pack boxes next year. Regular shoeboxes wrapped in Christmas paper are fine too. For details on packing a shoebox check out the OCC website: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/pack-a-shoe-box/
Samaritan’s Purse knows that more Drop-off locations always leads to more shoeboxes collected. The OCC volunteers at Faith Baptist Church are always looking to help other churches become OCC Shoebox Drop-off locations.
Another success of Friendship and Fellowship.
There were so many entrees that it was diffucult to make a selection.
The dessert table was so full it was hard to make a decision.
Thank you all who took the time to support our church event.
Thank you all for making this years church picnic a great success. It was a time of fellowship and friendship. All the special dishes that were brought by the church family were especially enjoyed. We are all looking forward to next years picnic.
